Standard Tools and Equipment is Hiring a Mechanical and Electrical Assembler Near Greensboro, NC

Electrical Wiring and Assembly

Our production hours are M-F from 6AM-2:30PM.

All employees must pass a background and drug test.

Who are we looking for? We are looking for someone who can work in our electrical department assembling our air makeup units and wiring control boxes. It's a small department, so this position does a few different tasks, depending on the production goals. We're an "all hands on deck" environment and if you work for us, you'll be a valuable member of our team. We cross train all positions in our production so we can all pitch in where needed. We're a small team that works together to achieve big results.

  • From start to finish, this position will assemble and test the air makeup units to ensure they meet our standards as well as the standards of Intertek.
  • Confirm design and bill of materials for all products.
  • Help with troubleshooting to solve problems with installed equipment.
  • Use hand tools to fully assemble the unit.
  • Fully test the unit before shipping.

What you have:

  • A great attitude
  • Electrical experience - ability to create/read/follow electrical schematics is a must
  • Excellent organization skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Like working with your hands and figuring out tough problems
  • Knowledge of airflow, HVAC, metal applications, a plus

Standard Tools sells to every industry, all over the world for over 25 years. Our customers paint all sorts of things in our booths: Furniture, Petty Mustangs, speed boats, large signs, coolers, movie props, Violins, Military vehicles, agricultural equipment, prosthetics, golf carts, and much more!

In our ETL-certified electrical department we build air makeup units (big ole' heaters) and control boxes for our paint booths.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
